<p>INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA Women’s Bowling Committee has selected Detroit, Mich., as the host site for the 2011 NCAA National Collegiate Women’s Bowling Championship.</p>
<p>The 2011 bowling championship, hosted by the University of Detroit Mercy, will be a double-elimination event featuring the top eight teams from NCAA institutions where women’s bowling is offered as a varsity sport. The championship will take place April 14-16 at Skore Lanes in Taylor, Mich.</p>
<p>“The University of Detroit Mercy is committed to making the 2011 NCAA National Collegiate Women’s Bowling Championship a tremendous success for the participating student-athletes and the local community,” said Keri Gaither, athletic director for the University of Detroit Mercy.</p>
<p>The 2010 NCAA National Collegiate Women’s Bowling Championship, hosted by New Jersey City University, will be held in North Brunswick, N.J., at the Brunswick Zone Carolier Lanes, April 8-10. </p>
